Immunoblotting is based on the enzyme-linked immunodetection of antigen specific antibodies (supplied by the researcher) using anti-IgG antibodies conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRPO) or Alkaline Phosphatase (AP). This rapid and sensitive method for detection of proteins offers advantages in reproducibility, convenience and safety. Immunoblotting kits are suitable for use with Western blots, dot blots and slot blots. American Qualex offers complete kits for detection of goat, mouse and rabbit antibodies. Each kit includes affinity purified enzyme conjugates quality control tested for immunoblotting, which insures maximum sensitivity and lowest background. Reagnets provided with each kit are sufficient for eight mini-gel blots or fifty dot blots.
